PETALING JAYA: Several PKR leaders and lawmakers have arrived at the party's headquarters for a special meeting.
Among those spotted were PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, communications director Fahmi Fadzil, Deputy Health Minister Dr Lee Boon Chye, Kedah PKR chairman and Sungai Petani MP Datuk Johari Abdul, party stalwart and former deputy president Dr Syed Husin Ali, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Fuziah Salleh, PKR treasurer Lee Chean Chung, Kapar MP Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid among others.
The special central leadership meeting is expected to begin at noon on Monday (Feb 24) and will be chaired by Saifuddin.
On Sunday (Feb 23), several key leaders from Pakatan Harapan parties and some from the Opposition had attended a special meeting at a hotel in Petaling Jaya.
The closed-door meeting raised more questions as there also had been separate meetings involving several political parties earlier that were held all over the city centre.
This is amidst talk of a possible realignment of the country's political landscape.
There were also many vehicles seen entering Istana Negara from about 5.30pm on Sunday and subsequently leaving the Palace ground two hours later.
PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said during an event at his residence on Sunday night he was awaiting information on what he described as an attempt to set up a new government.
