PETALING JAYA: Party leaders from Pakatan Harapan who are currently at Istana Negara will attend a major dinner at Sheraton here Sunday (Feb 23).
A source said the dinner will see the attendance of MPs from PKR, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), Warisan, Umno, PAS and Gabungan Parti Sarawak currently at the palace as well as their supporters.
"We do not know if Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir will be here.
"Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali will be together with Umno and PAS leaders. Warisan and GPS leaders are also expected to be present.
"As far as we know, there won't be any major announcement of the pending new coalition.
"The dinner is being held to gather all those who support Dr Mahathir to complete a full term," said the source.
Hotel staff were seen busy getting the venue ready.
An aide to the prime minister said that Dr Mahathir would not be attending the dinner.
Sheraton PJ is the hotel where Pakatan announced its victory after overturning the 60-year-old Barisan Nasional federal government in the last general election.
