Works Minister: Almost RM3bil saved with govt takeover of Pan Borneo Highway

KUCHING: The government will save an estimated RM2.865bil by taking over the Pan Borneo Highway project in Sarawak from project delivery partner (PDP) Lebuhraya Borneo Utara Sdn Bhd (LBU), says Works Minister Baru Bian.

He said the project was estimated to cost RM18.992bil following the takeover by his ministry, compared to the total development cost of RM21.857bil under the PDP model.
