PETALING JAYA: A motorcyclist was killed instantly after she was run over by a bus in an accident on the North-South Expressway.

Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement department chief Supt Azman Shariat said Nur Azwein Farisha Azrul Hisham was travelling from Sungai Buaya to Rawang when the accident occurred around 12.45am on Monday (Feb 3).

"She hit a car that was on the emergency lane and the impact caused her to be thrown to the middle lane of the highway, where she was run over by a bus," he said.

Supt Azman said the 20-year-old woman died on the spot from injuries to her head and chest while her motorcycle was dragged for about 13m.

The case is being investigated under section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
