Eight fishermen missing near Lahad Datu waters

LAHAD DATU (Bernama): Eight fishermen were believed to be missing in Tambisan waters, Tungku, near here, Saturday (Jan 17).

According to source, a fishing boat registered in Sandakan was found without her crew in Bay Tangusu waters at 12.40pm.

It is understood that the boat was found near the location where a kidnapping occurred here before.

Meanwhile, Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) commander Datuk Hazani Ghazali, when contacted, confirmed receiving a report of the incident. - Bernama
