Former MCA deputy president Lee Kim Sai dies

PETALING JAYA: Former MCA deputy president Tan Sri Lee Kim Sai has died at the age of 82.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong expressed his condolences to Lee's family, saying he was saddened over Lee's death.

"He was a respected leader who contributed to society and country.

"Around 1980 until the 1990s, he has held several posts in government, including as health minister, human resources minister as well as housing and local government minister. He also held the post of MCA deputy president during that time," he said in a post on his official Facebook page Sunday (Nov 24).

Dr Wee added that Lee's passing was a big loss to society and country.

Lee's wake will be held on Nov 24 and 25 at Xiao En Centre in Cheras while his burial will take place at Xiao En Nilai Memorial Park on Nov 26.
