Mothers abandoned by husbands can get relief from S'gor govt, says assemblyman

MOTHERS whose husbands have abandoned their family responsibilities can apply for state programmes designed for single mothers with documents to prove their claims.

In reply to Rajiv Rishyakaran (Pakatan-Bukit Gasing) about the eligibility of underprivileged mothers for the state aids, State Health, Welfare, Women Empowerment and Family Committee chairman Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud (pic) said such mothers can lodge a police report and get a support letter from community leaders, as supporting documents to file their application.
