Pilot walks away unhurt after gyrocopter crash


IPOH: A pilot cheated death when his gyrocopter crashed at Felcra Berhad Jejawi, near Kampung Gajah, Saturday (Nov 9) morning.

Perak Tengah OCPD Supt Barudin Wariso said the 29-year-old pilot, identified as Muhammad Zakwan Hakem Mazlan, escaped unhurt in the 10.25am incident.

Supt Barudin said there were no passengers on board.

“The aircraft was carrying insecticide meant to be sprayed at the Felcra Seberang Perak paddy fields nearby.

“We have notified the Civil Aviation Department, and police are monitoring the affected area, ” he added.
