JOHOR BARU: Barisan Nasional's move in fielding Tanjung Piai MCA division chief Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng (pic) as its candidate for the by-election has silenced critics for labelling the Umno-PAS pact as inclusive to only one race.

Johor Umno Youth chief Mohd Hairi Mad Shah said this while adding that the youth wing welcomed the decision from Barisan's leadership to re-nominate Wee to wrest the parliamentary seat.
