Witness: Jho Low arranged security deposit payment to Abaar for misappropriation

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The High Court here has heard that fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho or Jho Low had arranged for the security deposit payment of US$576,943,490 to Aabar Investments PJS (Aabar) for the takeover of Tanjong Energy Holdings Sdn Bhd (TEHSB) for the purpose of misappropriation.

Former 1MDB chief executive officer Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi, 49, disclosed this on the 15th day of the trial on Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s case involving 1MDB (1Malaysia Development Bhd) on Monday (Sept 30).
