King to flag off unity walk

PETALING JAYA: #AnakAnakMalaysia participants’ spirit of walking in unity this Merdeka will surely be raised, for they will be flagged off by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.The #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk aims to spread the message of unity and love for the nation, and to stamp out voices which seek to promote discord and extremism.

The King will be at the Eco World Gallery in Eco Ardence at 5.15pm on Saturday for the flag-off.

Star Media Group chairman Datuk Fu Ah Kiow expressed his gratitude that the King would be attending the event.

“We are certain that Malaysians will be thrilled and honoured to have the opportunity to celebrate alongside His Majesty.

“We look forward to walking together as anak-anak Malaysia this Merdeka day, ” he said.

Eco World Development Group Bhd chairman Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin also expressed his gratitude at having the privilege of the King’s presence at the event.

“Eco World is deeply honoured to have the King grace the #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk this year at Eco Ardence as we continue to build on our beloved country’s strength in diversity.

“His Majesty’s presence in our fifth year of the #AnakAnakMalaysia campaign reinforces our belief that a better Malaysia begins with all of us.

“We are proud to be walking alongside our beloved King as a nation, ” he said.

#AnakAnakMalaysia Walk 2019 is a collaboration between Malaysia’s well-known property developer Eco World Development Group Bhd and Star Media Group.

The main sponsors for the event are Panasonic (silver sponsor) and DRB-HICOM (car sponsor).

#AnakAnakMalaysia Walk 2019 will be held on Aug 31, starting at 4.30pm at the Eco Ardence Sales Gallery, Persiaran Setia Alam in Setia Alam, Shah Alam.
