PUTRAJAYA: A total of 4,000 tiered seats will be provided by the Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) for the convenience of those attending the 2019 National Day parade here.

PPj corporate communications director Tengku Aina Tengku Ismail Shah said the five-tier seating would be from Menara Prisma to Bulatan Kementerian Kewangan.

“It is a new facility that we are providing this year, in addition to other viewing areas along the route of the parade and performances that will be held on that day, ” she told Bernama.

Putrajaya is the host for this year’s National Day parade with the theme “Sayangi Malaysiaku: Malaysia Bersih” (Love Our Malaysia: A Clean Malaysia).

Tengku Aina said PPj would also provide a 12-tier terrace facility involving about 1,500 seats for dignitaries.

For those driving to the event, she said there were 3,000 parking spaces available at Precincts 2,3 and 4.

“Free bus service will be available between 7am and 2pm from Putrajaya Sentral, Ayer@8 and MyFarm to the event area, ” she added.Tengku Aina said PPj had distributed 11,750 flags to the residents’ representative councils in Putrajaya to be hoisted in their neighbourhood to boost the Merdeka spirit.

“We have also hoisted 1,500 flags along the main roads and at PPJ-owned buildings and premises.

“We have also sent letters to inform owners of private buildings in Putrajaya to fly the Jalur Gemilang at their premises, ” she added. — Bernama
