Waytha Moorthy ready to accept any decision made about his portfolio


MELAKA: National Unity and Social Wellbeing Minister P.Waytha Moorthy is ready to accept any decision made about his current portfolio.

"I will leave it to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to decide and will accept his decision. However, I haven't been told of any changes yet," he said.

Waytha Moorthy said this on Saturday (Aug 24) after opening the "Colours of Unity" contest here organised by entrepreneur Goh Ming Kang.

Earlier, Waytha Moorthy called upon Malaysians to put aside any discontentment over certain issues and focus on the upcoming Merdeka celebration.

"The nation comes first for all of us, let us celebrate her birthday in a blissful mood," he added.

On Thursday (Aug 22), Dr Mahathir said that there may be a minor change in Cabinet portfolios soon

"I told the Cabinet that there may be a minor change in the portfolio, but not now. There is no Cabinet reshuffle, just changes in portfolio and even then, I haven't done it," said Dr Mahathir.
