Agreement reached between Federal Govt, Sabah, Sarawak on seven MA63 points


PETALING JAYA: An agreement has been reached between the Federal Government, Sabah and Sarawak on seven out of the 21 issues submitted to the Special Cabinet Committee to review the implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

The Prime Minister's Office in a statement said that the seven issues were on the demand for timber and forest product duties; the distribution of gas and the power to oversee electricity and gas; the implementation of federal and state works projects; manpower; state authority on health issues; the administration of Pulau Sipadan and Ligitan; and agriculture and forestry issues.
