Intellectually disabled woman allegedly raped by father and his friend

KANGAR: A 28-year-old intellectually disabled woman was allegedly raped by her father and his friend here.

Perlis police chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Noor Mushar Mohamad said the 61-year-old father and his 53-year-old friend had been remanded for seven days over the alleged offence.

He said the victim had told a neighbour about her plight.

"The neighbour then helped the victim to lodge a police report on Thursday (June 27).

"According to the victim's statement, she was raped by her father at home in May.

"In the same month, her father took her to a friend's farm and raped her there.

"Initial investigations showed that the victim's father colluded with his friend and allowed the latter to rape his daughter," SAC Noor Mushar said.

He said the victim did not know how to make a police report and is unable to express herself clearly.

SAC Noor Mushar said the victim was being treated at the Tuanku Fauziah Hospital here and an initial medical report showed that there were old injuries on her private parts.

The case is being investigated under Section 372 of the Penal Code for exploiting any person for prostitution.
