Bukit Aman handling sex video probe, says Sabah police chief

KOTA KINABALU: Bukit Aman is investigating the viral sex video of two men, believed to be recorded in a hotel room in Sandakan, says Sabah police commissioner Datuk Omar Mammah (pic).

"Bukit Aman is handling it," he said when asked whether Sabah police were looking into the controversial issue.

He also declined to comment further on the issue.

For the past two days, a video of two men engaging in sexual acts, with one resembling a minister, has been making its rounds on social media and via WhatsApp.

Early on Wednesday (June 12), Mohammad Haziq Abdul Aziz confessed on Facebook that he was the man in the sex video.

Muhammad Haziq, who is the senior private secretary to Deputy Primary Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, also named the minister and said he was not fit to be a leader.

He claimed that the video was taken without his permission on May 11 during the Sandakan by-election in (his) room at Hotel Four Points.

Muhammad Haziq also called on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate the minister for corruption.
