NUR-SULTAN, Kazakhstan: A new beginning awaits this nation of 18 million people as they voted in a new president.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, 66, captured close to 71% of the votes after polling closed at 8pm (10pm in Malaysia) Sunday (June 9) night to take over the leadership from Nursultan Nazarbayev.
