Mazlan Mansor is new deputy IGP

PUTRAJAYA: Bukit Aman Commercial Crimes Investigations Department (CCID) director Datuk Mazlan Mansor has been appointed as the new deputy Inspector-General of Police.

The former Selangor police chief received his appointment letter from Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at a ceremony at the Home Ministry here on Monday (May 13).

Mazlan's appointment took effect on May 9.

He replaces Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim ,who retired on March 17.

This came right after the appointment of Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador as the new Inspector-General of Police on May 4.

Also present at the ceremony were Abdul Hamid and Home Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Alwi Ibrahim.
