Fasting no problem for nonagenarian PM

PUTRAJAYA: Fasting is not a problem for 93-year old Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who has a packed schedule.

"I am a small eater. Even when I don't eat, I don't feel it (hungry).

"So fasting is a not a problem for me.

"I find that it is a welcome change from my daily routine," Dr Mahathir said when asked how he found the first day of Ramadan after an hour-long group interview on Monday (May 6) held in conjunction with the first anniversary of the Pakatan Harapan in government on May 9.

Muslims in Malaysia started fasting on Monday.
