Report lodged against Syed Husin over remarks

PETALING JAYA: A police report was lodged against PKR leader and former academician Prof Dr Syed Husin Ali for allegedly citing provocative statements against the Malay Rulers.

The NGO Sahabat Erat dan Amanat Rakyat (Sedar) lodged a police report at the Brickfields police station hours after a forum on the Rome Statute at Universiti Malaya, stating that Syed Husin had uttered words which evoked hatred against the Rulers during the discussion. Nazrin Norani, president of Sedar, filed the report.
