KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman has yet to ascertain if any Malaysians were involved in the recent terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka, says Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun.
The Inspector-General of Police said he was aware about talk of terrorist links to Malaysians, but investigations so far have not revealed any.
"So far, we have not found any links between Malaysians and the terrorist attacks.
"We are still collecting actionable intelligence," he told a press conference after witnessing the handing over ceremony for the Bukit Aman Narcotic Crimes Investigation Department director on Wednesday (April 24).
Bukit Aman has so far raised the security alert nationwide, following the attacks on Sunday (April 21), he added.
"All state police chiefs have been instructed to impose more security measures in the wake of the attacks.
"Security at the Sri Lanka High Commission has also been increased," he said.
Mohamad Fuzi said police personnel nationwide are staying vigilant despite the attacks occurring in another country.
