One-day unrecorded leave for civil servants observing Good Friday

PUTRAJAYA:  Civil servants of Christian faith can enjoy an unrecorded one-day leave to observe Good Friday.

A circular signed by Public Service director-general Datuk Seri Borhan Dolah, dated April 17, was issued to inform the matter.

The letter stated that Christian civil servants can have one day of unrecorded leave for Good Friday, beginning this year.

However, this privilege is not meant for those who are working in states where Good Friday is already declared as public holiday.

Good Friday is a public holiday in Sabah and Sarawak.

This year, it falls on April 19.
