PUTRAJAYA: A political secretary to a minister has been arrested over an allegation that he received an Omega watch worth RM28,000.

According to sources, the 47-year-old officer allegedly received the luxury watch from a developer.

The officer was asked to explain the allegation that he had received the gift from a developer yesterday.

Sources said he was arrested at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters while his statement was being recorded.
