Police to be out in full force during trial

PETALING JAYA: The police will be out in full force to ensure everything goes smoothly during the trial of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak involving RM42mil in SRC International Sdn Bhd funds.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm S. Shanmugamoorthy said all necessary preparations had been laid out.

“We will be ready to ensure the security of everyone at the trial,” he said.

“Additional police personnel will be stationed at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex throughout the trial on Wednesday,” he added when contacted yesterday.

Asked whether there would be any special drills as part of the preparations, ACP Shanmugamoorthy said there was no need as police were already trained to handle any situation.

“No, there won’t be any training just for this trial.

“This is because we routinely train to handle all sorts of situations,” he said.
