FT Mufti: Malaysians will stand as one to spread peace

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians will stand as one to send a message of peace and reject all forms of hate, says Federal Territories Mufti Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri.

He said the main message that Malaysians wanted to send is a message of peace which is highlighted in Islam and the Al-Quran.

"Peace is the main source of happiness in our lives.

What we stand today, we hope it can be translated through one solidarity of heart," he said in his speech at the Solidarity for Peace rally on Saturday.

"Let us learn from what took place in New Zealand that we all reject all forms of hate and let us spread the message of love and peace," said Dr Zulkifli.

The mass shooting at two mosques in Christchurch on March 15 killed 50 people and injured dozens more.
