Water supply affected due to power disruption in Seri Kembangan


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Water supply to 51 areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat and Sepang districts has been disrupted due to a power failure in Seri Kembangan late Monday (March 18) evening.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd customer relations and communications head Abdul Raof Ahmad said an electricity supply disruption caused several pump houses around Seri Kembangan to stop operation.

"Following the incident, several areas are expected to experience scheduled water supply disruption and we are monitoring and taking action to restore and stabilise supply in the affected areas," he said in a statement on Monday. According to him, the power restoration was being carried out by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) to ensure the situation returns to normal.

Petaling district recorded the most number of areas affected at Bayu Apartment, Serdang Lama, Megaria Apartment, Serdang Perdana, SP 1-5, Apartment Taman Universiti Indah, Serdang Raya, SR 1-8, Bandar Pinggiran Putra, Seri Kembangan, SK 2-12, Bandar Putra Permai, BPP SK 1 and 13, Bukit Serdang 1, 3 and 4, Taman Bukit Ikhlas, Bukit Serdang, BS 5/16-5/19, Taman Dato' Demang, Bukit Serdang, BS 5/3-5/15, BS 5/20-5/28 and BS 6/1-6/8, Taman Equine, Bukit Serdang, BS 9 – 13, Taman Jinma, Bukit Serdang, Jalan Bersatu and BS 3/1-3/3, Taman Kembangsari, Serdang Agricultural Institute and Taman Kota Perdana, KP 1-3.

Also affected are Jalan Cemara, Bukit Serdang,Taman Lestari Putra, LEP 1-6 Jalan raya 6 and 7, Serdang Jaya, Taman Muhibbah, KTM Serdang, Taman Puncak Jalil 1-9, Lestari Perdana, LP 1-8, Taman Sri Andalas, Mardi, Taman Sri Serdang, Nahrim, Taman Universiti, Jalan Indah 1, 2 and 3, Pasar Borong Selangor, Taman Serdang Utama, Jln BS 9/1 - 9/4 and BS 14/1-14/11, Pekan Seri Kembangan, UPM, Perdagangan Seri Kembangan (PSK), Astro, Perindustrian Bukit Serdang, Jln BS 7/10 and BS 8, Taman Saujana Puchong, Perindustrian Bukit Serdang, PBS 14 and Taman Mutiara Indah Puchong.

In Hulu Langat, the affected areas are Desa Serdang, Heritage Kondominium, Gita Bayu, Jalan Dagang, Blue Water Estate, Petronas Solaris Serdang, Mines Resort, R and R Serdang, Lebuhraya Sg Besi, Mines 1, Wisma Huazong, Mines 2 and Minlon.

Also affected are three areas in Sepang namely Taman Lestari Permai, Taman Alam Putra and Taman Prima Tropika.
