IPOH: Buntong assemblyman A. Sivasubramaniam's car was stolen from the Land and Mines Department's car park here.
Ipoh Deputy OCPD Supt Mazuki Mat said the incident occurred on Tuesday (March 12) evening.
He said the assemblyman had parked his black Proton Perdana there at about 3pm, and it was missing when he returned at about 4.30pm.
According to the assemblyman, he parked his car at the same spot everyday because his office as the coordinator of the non-Islamic Affairs unit was located in the building.
"Important work-related documents were also inside the car. There is no CCTV at the car park and the guard did not realise the incident," he said, adding that the building was gated.
Supt Mazuki said the car was locked at the time of the incident.
The case is being investigated under Section 379A for vehicle theft.
