Segamat MP Edmund Santhara tops latest MACC asset declaration list at RM132mil

PETALING JAYA: Segamat MP Datuk Seri Dr Edmund R. Santhara Kumar is currently the wealthiest MP based on the latest filing on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) asset declaration website.

Based on information on this website, the Segamat MP and his wife have RM132,115,000 in assets, placing Beruas MP Ngeh Koo Ham in second place with RM 77,011,990.00.

To date, 121 or 93.8% of government parliamentary members have declared their assets and 78 or 88.4% of administrative members have also declared their assets.

Last November, Beruas MP Ngeh topped the asset declaration list, followed by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who had accumulated assets worth RM32mil.

At the time, Ngeh said he was not the richest MP as there were a few Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional MPs who had yet to declare their assets.
