Tapir catches attention of Kota Kemuning residents, tries to flee, but falls into drain


PETALING JAYA: The residents of Kota Kemuning woke up to find a Tapir roaming around their housing area.

The tapir was seen wandering around aimlessly and eating plants and bushes around 7am on Sunday (March 3).

However, the tapir was frightened by the sudden attention and tried to flee before falling into a drain.

Thankfully, the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) and Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) were called in to rescue the poor animal.
