Policewoman falls prey to snatch thieves

KUALA LUMPUR: A policewoman was the victim of a snatch theft outside the Police Cooperatives Building near Kampung Attap here Thursday (Feb 21).

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Shaharuddin Abdullah said the incident occurred at around 11.15am Thursday.

"The 59-year-old victim was standing outside the building when a motorcyclist approached her and snatched her bag, which she was carrying on her right shoulder.

"The incident happened so fast that she could not get a good look at the suspects or the motorcycle," he said when contacted.

He said people at the scene also only turned their attention to the incident when the victim screamed.

"There are CCTV in the area of the incident and we will analyse the footage for further action," he said
