Siti Nurhaliza not entertaining claims of running in polls

THE private aide of Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza has made it clear that the singer will not address claims that she would be the Pakatan Harapan candidate in the Semenyih by-election.

“Neither Siti Nurhaliza nor I want to comment on matters that are unrelated, not known, or not done by Siti,” Rozi Abd Razak, 45, said as reported in Kosmo!.

“That’s enough; if we do not like our name to be used, slandered, or being insulted, neither does Siti,” she posted on her Instagram account.

There had been speculation circulated on social media about Siti Nurhaliza’s candidacy in the March 2 by-election.

The Selangor state seat fell vacant following the death of Pakatan assemblyman Bakhtiar Mohd Nor on Jan 11 from a heart attack. He was 57.

Fans have posted on Rozi’s Instagram, asking about the rumours. They also want legal action against those who spread rumours about Siti Nurhaliza.

 

> A security guard ended up with five stitches on his head, besides injuring his leg, when he was attacked by a wild monkey at a school in Dungun, reported Harian Metro.

Norhisham Mohamed Nor, 40, said he was at the guard house on Sunday night, waiting for prayer time, when an animal touched his leg.

“At first, I thought it was a dog. But when I stood up, I saw that it was a monkey and it attacked me.

“It bit my right leg and I fell down before my head hit a metal post in front of the guard house,” he said.

“After about five minutes being mauled by the monkey, I managed to escape and used a metal rod to defend myself,” he said.

Norhisham immediately contacted his wife, Norhayati Ali, 41, to come to the school and send him to the hospital.

Norhayati said that nearby residents had told her about the monkey attacking other people as well.

The monkey, she said, was shot dead by some residents later that night.
