Irish tourist gone missing for over 21 days

KUALA LUMPUR: City police are searching for an Irish man who has been missing for over 21 days.

Stephen Warde, 32, entered Malaysia as a tourist on Nov 15.

It was learnt that he was last seen at Mercu Summer Suite along Jalan Sultan Ismail here.

His mother Mary Morrissey has made a desperate appeal for help to find him in an Irish news portal, saying it was very unusual for her son to go missing, describing him as being a “quiet and placid” man.

“He has dark brown hair, brown eyes and is 5’11”. We have had no contact since Jan 1.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Shaharuddin Abdullah confirmed police have received a missing person report connected to the case.

He urged anyone with information to contact the Dang Wangi police headquarters at 03-2600 2222 or visit the nearest police station.
