Cable theft suspect detained

PETALING JAYA: Auxiliary police of RapidKL apprehended a man suspected of cable theft at an MRT station on Wednesday (Jan 23) after he intruded into the tracks and caused a delay in train service.

The operator of the MRT services posted a picture of the man being detained, although his face was blurred out, in Facebook.

The man was wearing what appeared to be a Manchester United jersey.

RapidKL said they were experiencing a track intrusion between Pusat Bandar Damansara and Phileo Damansara stations, and that power was “de-energised” for safety reasons after commuters on the MRT line complained of delays.
