PETALING JAYA: The auxiliary police of RapidKL have apprehended a man suspected of cable theft at an MRT station on Wednesday (Jan 23) after he intruded into the tracks and caused a delay in train service.

In a Facebook post, RapidKL said normal train services had resumed and apologised for any inconveniences caused.

The operator of the MRT services also posted a picture of the man being apprehended, although his face was blurred out.

The man was wearing what appeared to be a Manchester United jersey.

Earlier, RapidKL said they were experiencing a track intrusion between Pusat Bandar Damansara and Phileo Damansara stations, and that power was "de-energised" for safety reasons.

Some commuters on the MRT line had complained that they were experiencing delays.
