Promotions and transfers: Mazlan takes over from Amar Singh as CCID director


PETALING JAYA: Comm Datuk Mazlan Mansor and Comm Datuk Abd Rahim Jaafar head latest list of transfers and promotions involving 32 Royal Malaysia Police officers nationwide.

Comm Mazlan, who is currently the Selangor police chief, will take over as Bukit Aman Commercial Crimes Investigations Department (CCID) director following the retirement of his predecessor Comm Datuk Seri Amar Singh on Dec 6.

Comm Abd Rahim, who is currently Kedah's top cop, has been appointed as the new Bukit Aman Management Department director.

Other movements saw Comm Datuk Ramli Hassan being promoted to Bukit Aman Special Branch deputy director I (he is currently deputy director II).

Negri Sembilan CPO Deputy Comm Datuk Noor Azam Jamaluddin will take Comm Mazlan’s place as Selangor police chief and promoted to the rank of Commissioner while DCP Datuk T. Narenasagaran will take over as Penang police chief.

Among other notable promotions involved Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement (JSPT) Senior Asst Comm Datuk Azisman Alias, who has been promoted to the rank of DCP.

Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) principal assistant director (Intelligence/Operations) SAC Zulkifli Ali has been promoted as the department’s deputy director with the rank of DCP.

Asst Comm Victor Sanjos will take over as Bukit Aman CCID deputy director (Cybercrimes and Multimedia investigation) with the rank of SAC while ACP Adlan Ahmad will assume the post of Bukit Aman CCID principal assistant director with the rank of SAC as well.

The list also includes ACP Fazlisyam Abd Majid, who will be helming Selangor CCID.

Bukit Aman Inspector-General of Police (IGP) (Secretariat) Corporate Communications head SAC Datuk Asmawati Ahmad said all transfers and promotions come into effect on Feb 11.
