PKR leaders deny message about Azmin and 20 other MPs jumping to Bersatu

PETALING JAYA: A message saying that Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and 20 other PKR MPs will jump to Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia has been making its rounds on the social media.

Party members have been sharing the message but PKR leaders have denied this will happen.

PKR vice president Zuraida Kamaruddin said that it was unlikely and not true.

"I don't know which group is propagating this," she said.

PKR central leadership council member Sivarasa Rasiah also denied that Azmin is leaving the party.

There has been much talk of MPs switching parties – especially from Umno to Bersatu – in the past weeks.

There has also been vehement opposition against taking in ex-Umno MPs from party leaders such as Nurul Izzah Anwar and Rafizi Ramli, who are not aligned to Azmin.

Azmin has been contacted to obtain his comment, but has yet to respond.
