KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department P. Waytha Moorthy is now in Bukit Aman to give a statement to police here.
He entered the police headquarters in a white Toyota Camry and waved at reporters camped outside before heading in.
Waytha is expected to give a statement over comments made in the wake of the riots at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple.
Bukit Aman CID will record his statement.
Waytha Moorthy is among nine individuals required by police to have their statements recorded over recent comments that are said to have sparked racial tensions.
