Kit Siang questions Hadi Awang's opposition to ICERD

PETALING JAYA: Lim Kit Siang has questioned PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang's opposition to ratifying the International Covenant on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD), claiming that 55 other Islamic countries have already ratified it.

The Iskandar Puteri MP said ICERD has been ratified by 99% of the 1.9 billion Muslims in the world, including countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Oman, Qatar, UAE, Algeria, Pakistan, Turkey, Tunisia, Morocco, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
