Teenager arrested for alleged sodomy of five-year-old

PONTIAN: A 13-year old boy has been arrested for allegedly sodomising a five-year old boy.

The alleged incident took place at a house in Taman Saujana here where the victim was under the care of the suspect's mother.

Pontian OCPD Supt Mustafa Bakri Salleh said the teenager was arrested after the five-year boy's mother lodged a police report on Nov 14 at around 9.37am.

"The boy has admitted to performing the act on the victim when his mother, the victim's babysitter, was not at home,'' he said in statement.

The case is being investigated under Section 377C of the Penal Code and the suspect has been remanded for four days to assist with investigation.

In a separate case, a  robbery suspect was shot dead when he tried to ram into several policemen at Taman Nusa Bestari 2, Iskandar Puteri at around 3.30am on Nov 5.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said policemen were deployed to the location after receiving a call about a man who was behaving suspiciously at the entrance of a shop lot.

"Upon seeing our men, the suspect ran towards the back lane of the shop lot but our men managed to catch him,'' he said.

Comm Mohd Khalil said suddenly a man in a Proton Iswara drove towards the policemen and police had to fire warning shots at the driver.

He said the driver was already dead when police inspected the car, adding that cash was found in the car believed to be from the robbery.

Comm Mohd Khalil said initial investigation showed the deceased was on a police wanted list with previous 15 criminal records.
