Fire Dept to set up K9 search-and-rescue unit in northern region

BUTTERWORTH: The Fire and Rescue Department plans to have its own K9 unit in the northern region for Search and Rescue (SAR) operations.

Its director-general Mohammad Hamdan Wahid said the magnitude of the disaster in Bukit Kukus required the use of the K9 unit to find the landslide victims last week.
