Trailer driver claims trial to driving under the influence of drugs, resulting in 5 deaths


KUALA KANGSAR (Bernama): A trailer driver pleaded not guilty in the magistrate's court here on Friday (Oct 12) to a charge of driving under the influence of drugs, which caused the deaths of five people.

Mohd Zaidi Di, 41, was charged under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and faces a jail term of not less than three years and not exceeding 10 years and a fine of between RM8,000 and RM20,000, if convicted.
