Pairin set to step down as PBS leader after 33 years at the helm

KOTA KINABALU: Veteran Sabah leader Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan is setting the stage to step down as president of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) which led since its formation in 1985.

After facing his first electoral defeat in his stronghold of Tambunan in GE14, Pairin passed on the Tambunan division chief post to his brother-in-law and PBS vice president Datuk Daniel Kinsik at the division’s annual general meeting.
