PETALING JAYA: Tahfiz schools should be subject to compulsory registration with the Ministry of Education, the Human Rights Commission Of Malaysia (Suhakam) said on Sunday (Sept 23).
The commission said this in relation to reports of recurring cases of abuse of children in tahfiz schools, the most recent being the alleged sexual abuse of nine boys by their school principal.
