Najib slams raid of mother's home, says it was disrespectful

PEKAN: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak slammed the raid of his mother's house on Thursday (Sept 20).

The Pekan MP said the police raid was disrespectful towards Tun Rahah Mohammad Noah (pic).

"What is this government today that claims to be the better administration when they did not even respect the house of the wife of Tun Abdul Razak, a man who performed good deeds for Felda folk?

And they left empty-handed too.

"This is the situation in Malaysia today. When it's related to Umno, they have all manner of accusations but when it is Pakatan Harapan, they let go of those who have been charged in court," Najib said at a get-together with Felda Chini settlers here on Friday (Sept 21).

It was reported that the raid was carried out at about 4pm Thursday as Najib was being slapped with 25 fresh corruption and money laundering charges in Kuala Lumpur.

He claimed that the charges were political in nature and not based on the rule of law.
