Four ‘Geng 21’ members nabbed in Klang for trafficking heroin

SHAH ALAM: Four “Geng 21” members were detained for trafficking heroin in Klang, said Comm Datuk Mazlan Mansor.

The Selangor police chief said the four men, aged between 21 and 41, were detained in northern Klang on Aug 14.

Police also seized 2.27kg of heroin from them.

“We believe they are all members of Geng 21.

“Three of them were working as unlicensed security guards while another as a site supervisor,” he told a press conference on Monday (Aug 20).

The drugs, worth RM40,000 were meant for the local market, Comm Mazlan added.

“We believe they worked as security guards in an attempt to fool the authorities from detecting their drug trafficking activities.

“They have been remanded until Wednesday (Aug 22),” he said.

Comm Mazlan said police are investigating whether certain people were forced to hire the suspects’ security services.

“We won’t tolerate such intimidation of innocent people.

“We will put a stop to it if there are others who are victimised by this gang,” he said.
