PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court here today (July 24) allowed filmmaker Datuk Yusof Haslam and his son to appeal an earlier decision that their movie about "bohsia" (girls who silently agree to sexual advances) had plagiarised a novel.

A three-man panel led by Chief Justice Richard Malanjum gave leave to Yusof and his movie director cum actor son Syamsul Yusof to appeal against a Court of Appeal’s decision that found their movie “Bohsia: Jangan Pilih Jalan Hitam” had infringed the copyright of the novel “Aku Bohsia” written by Elias Idris.
