Najib's stepson Riza Aziz at MACC HQ to have statement recorded


PUTRAJAYA: Riza Aziz, the stepson of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, is at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters here to have his statement recorded.

The 48-year-old film producer arrived at 1.30pm Tuesday (July 3) to help in the 1MDB probe.

Clad in a dark suit and yellow shirt, he was accompanied by his lawyer Datuk K. Kumaraendran.

MACC sources said he is expected, among others, to explain allegations that funds from 1MDB had been used to finance the making of several Hollywood movies.

Riza is co-founder of Hollywood film production company, Red Granite Pictures, which produced "The Wolf of Wall Street", among other movies.
