Najib in custody, MACC gives media the slip


PUTRAJAYA: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is already in the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya, according to sources.

Sources revealed that the MACC gave the media the slip when escorting Najib to the building.

It is learnt that he arrived at 4pm Tuesday (July 3) and is now being questioned.

The 1Malaysia Development Board (1MDB) taskforce confirmed he was arrested at 2.35pm on Tuesday (July 3).

The MACC has announced that he will be charged in court on Wednesday morning, following his arrest at his residence at Jalan Langgak Duta, Kuala Lumpur

The MACC, however, did not specify the charges he will face, but it is learnt it is in relation to investigations into SRC International.

Najib is expected to be remanded overnight.
