25 members from Gerakan Belia 4B Malaysia pay surprise visit to Najib

KUALA LUMPUR: Twenty-five members from the youth group Gerakan Belia 4B Malaysia dropped in unexpectedly to call on former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at his Jalan Langgak Duta residence here Saturday afternoon.

The group, led by its president Mohd Nizam Omar (pic), arrived at 12.30pm and left at 1.50pm. Several members were dressed in their official yellow batik shirts.

Najib was the patron for the youth non-governmental organisation for nearly 10 years, by virtue of being prime minister.

Mohd Nizam said the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister are automatically patrons for the NGO.

“We are going to have our supreme council meeting, so we decided to drop in and thank him for his help and support throughout the years as patron.

“If this had been planned, there’d be even more members dropping in,” he said.

The delegation comprised members from all over the country, including from as far as Kelantan.

“He (Najib) told us to continue our struggle, and we will continue to struggle for the rights of our members, as we have done previously,” said Mohd Nizam.
