Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi's application to join Pribumi rejected

IPOH: Former Behrang assemblyman Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi will not be joining Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.

Relaying a message from Perak Mentri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu, state PKR information chief Siti Aishah Shaik Ismail said Jamaluddin's application form to join Pribumi was rejected.

In 2009, Jamaluddin, who was then PKR's Behrang assemblyman, along with former Changkat Jering assemblyman Osman Jailu and Jelapang assemblyman Datuk Hee Yit Foong became Barisan-friendly independent candidates and caused the collapse of the then Pakatan Rakyat state government.

"Ahmad Faizal was not aware of Jamaluddin's presence during the event on Monday.

"He was only informed about it after," she told a press conference here Tuesday (may15).

"We want to be clear, Jamaluddin was not invited to the event," he added.

Siti Aishah, who is also a senator, said Ahmad Faizal decided not to accept Jamaluddin following a discussion with Pakatan Harapan leaders, "We are all aware of his betrayal to the people during the 2009 state constitutional crisis," he said.

Jamaluddin was also present during the submission of application forms to join Pribumi by Sungai Manik assemblyman Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharudin on Monday.
Earlier, Ipoh Timur MP Wong Kah Woh said Ahmad Faizal should not accept Jamaluddin into Pribumi.

"I felt slighted when Ahmad Faizal received the form on Monday," the national DAP Youth chief said in a post on his Facebook page Monday (May 14) night.

"We should remind ourselves that Pakatan is not a 'rubbish bin' that accepts and save those who are not principled, who disrespects and ever [sic] sell the trust of the people for his own interests and purposes," he said.

Wong said the people of Perak have high hopes of the newly formed government.

"This hope is also a trust. Ahmad Faizal must understand the will and the feeling of the people in regards to what occurred in 2009," he said.
